Apollo Karuga Mugambi

Apollo is a registered dietitian and entrepreneur with a special interest in African food systems.

He is currently working on an initiative to improve household food security by upskilling small farmers so they can adopt sustainable food production and feed their families throughout the year, hence reducing hunger and malnutrition.  Apollo was recognised as a Kenyan Food Systems Hero by the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), for his pitch on how to solve African household hunger using a homemade solar food dehydrator. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, and Dietetics from the University of Nairobi
