Bancy Waweru

Bancy is a research fellow and plant pathologist at Rwanda Agricultural Board. She has over 15 years of research experience in agricultural science and innovation working with multi-disciplinary teams as well as rural farming communities. Bancy holds a Doctorate in Crop Protection from the University of Nairobi (UoN), Kenya; a Master of Science in Horticulture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya; and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from UoN. She has completed numerous professional development courses in diverse fields, including crop pest diagnosis and management, grant proposal writing, effective science communication, Plantwise modules, biocontrol agent production among others.
