Benise Umunezero

Benise is a strategy and operations specialist at One Acre Fund. She doubles up as the founder of Virunga Bee Farmers, a youth-led bee conservation and honey processing startup championing sustainable beekeeping practices, empowerment of local women cooperatives, and promotion of environment conservation.

At One Acre Fund, Benise sits on the mentorship committee for women in leadership dedicated to fostering women’s professional growth and empowerment. She is the African Leadership University alumni with qualification in international business and trade. She is also a certified project manager by Project Management Institute.
