Joan Mutoni
Joan is an Access to Nutritious Food Fellow, a nutritionist and environmental management specialist with experience managing humanitarian programmes to prevent malnutrition among people living in refugee camps and organising youth volunteer activities in local communities. In her current role at Gihembe Refugee Camp in Rwanda, she manages a programme that has significantly reduced acute malnutrition, stunting and anaemia prevalence among children aged under five in the past three years. Notable achievements initiating a voluntary programme that mobilised the youth in Gatsibo District to construct houses for the elderly and planting 3,000 trees in the area. She holds an MSc. in Environmental Management from Kampala International University in Uganda.
