Joanne Muchai Murunga

Joanne is the market systems development and partnerships manager at TechnoServe’s BlueBiz program, where she works to equip 15,000 youth along Kenya’s coast with entrepreneurial and technical skills across blue economy value chains. Her focus is on building sustainable enterprises, fostering inclusive markets, and creating dignified livelihoods for underserved communities. With a background in culinary arts, she has always been passionate about food and has over 10 years in agri-business, manufacturing, and consulting across East Africa. Joanne holds an MBA from the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, University College Dublin, Ireland.
