Joy Muya
Joy is a legal advisor at Food Banking Kenya, where she’s working to close the legal gaps that are slowing down efforts toward achieving food security.
She has contributed to the Global Food Donation Policy Atlas (Kenya), which provides a legal guide on laws touching on food donation in Kenya, together with policy recommendations for laws that seek to promote food security. Joy has also worked with the Retail Trade Association of Kenya (RETRAK) and the World Resource Institute (WRI) to develop a policy that responds to food insecurity. She has a Bachelor of Law (LL. B) from Strathmore Law School and a post-graduate diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law.
