Mary Adhiambo Ojuang

Mary is a Food Systems Transformation Researcher and Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) consultant at Consumer Grassroots Association and Haki Nawiri Africa Organization. Her work includes sensitization sessions in schools and grassroots settings in Machakos, aimed at shifting mindsets towards sustainable farming, indigenous seed preservation, and climate-resilient practices. Her journey in food systems is inspired by a commitment to center youth agency and women’s voices in agroecological transitions and equitable food governance. Her guiding philosophy is “empowerment begins with knowledge, and transformation is sustained through action.”  Mary holds a Master’s in Development Studies and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Nairobi.
