Michael Maina

Michael is a Senior Associate at CLASP supporting research activities under CLASP’s Clean Energy Access portfolio.

He has a keen interest in scaling the productive use of renewable energy (PURE) technologies such as irrigation, cooling, and agro-processing equipment among smallholder farmers who form the bulk of the agricultural workforce in Africa. Currently, he is supporting the IKEA Foundation in exploring ways to integrate PURE technologies into regenerative farming practices. Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Planning and Management from Kenyatta University.
