Peninah Warura Gicho

Peninah is an experienced program and investment professional with over a decade of work across East and West Africa. Her expertise lies in supporting SMEs to access capital, strengthen business models, and scale sustainably, particularly in agribusiness and climate-smart sectors.
She has supported the structuring of blended finance and managed portfolios of more than 100 enterprises. She is passionate about unlocking
inclusive growth pathways for African SMEs that combine financial returns with social and environmental impact. Peninah holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Nairobi and is pursuing a Master’s in Development Finance at Strathmore University.
