Willy Kibet Kiplagat

Willy is a chief agricultural officer at the Department of Agriculture and Irrigation, County Government of West Pokot. He works closely with small scale farmers in outreach programmes to improve livelihoods through disseminating knowledge on good agricultural practices and technologies in the face of ever changing climatic risks. He is passionate about achieving food and nutrition security in sustainable food systems, and has participated and presented papers in scientific conferences and exhibitions, with four papers under his name so far.

Willy is currently finalizing a PhD in Climate Change and Adaptation from the University of Nairobi.
